Neurology consultation

Neurology consultations for dogs and cats involve diagnosing and assessing disorders of the nervous system. During the visit, the veterinary neurologist takes a detailed history from the owner and performs a neurological examination to determine the location and nature of the problem.

Consultations are recommended for problems such as seizures, balance disorders, limb weakness, difficulty walking or chronic pain. Based on the examination findings, the veterinarian may recommend further diagnostic imaging or laboratory tests and start appropriate treatment.
