Electroencephalography (EEG)

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a non-invasive diagnostic test that monitors electrical activity in the animal’s brain. It is used to investigate neurological disorders, including epilepsy, altered consciousness, feline hyperaesthesia syndrome and fly-biting syndrome, and to assess the brain after head injuries.

The test is safe and is usually performed under sedation to minimise stress. EEG helps us better understand the causes of health problems and tailor neurological treatment. Our clinic offers neurology consultations and EEG testing.
